A range of specialist drivers with a torque release function for a wide range of professional threaded insert applications. Available in a range of driver nose sizes for ideal depth control and to suit a range of space restricted or deep access applications
The ElecArm® utilises a robust vertical support column, horizontal-sliding balance arm with spring support and fitted with an electrically powered torque-settable screwdriver. The screwdriver runs on 230/240v mains and is available in 5 torque ranges from 0.29Nm up to 25Nm value.
The Tappex FlexiArm® installation equipment consist of 1-3 individual pantograph arm(s) with a Desoutter pneumatic screwdriver(s) attached to each. The screwdriver can be specified with either manual or automatic reverse torque-clutch control and normally operates @ either 510 rpm or 1,100rpm depending upon the thread insert’s size and the material into which it is being installed.
Brass Insert for hard plastics.
Threaded insert designed for cold press installation into hard and filled thermoplastic and thermoset plastic materials. Available as a Single and Double Ended brass insert.
Inserts for moulding in. The Tappex HiMould range of brass inserts has been developed for plastics injection & compression moulding installation(s). Available in 3 body styles with both metric & some imperial equivalent threads.
Thread Inserts for Cold Press, Heat or Ultrasonic Installation. The Tappex Multisert® range of brass inserts for plastics have been developed to provide a multi-purpose threaded insert for a wide variety of applications. They are available in short and regular lengths and either unheaded or headed variants; normally lengths stated in mm.
For pull through applications in thin section materials. The Microbarb incorporates all the standard features of the Multisert range but provides the designer and production engineer with a brass insert suitable for pull through applications in thin section materials. The performance offered by the larger diameter and head offsets the shorter barb length when compared to the equivalent Multisert.
High performance self-tapping brass insert. Self tapping brass insert for use in thermoplastic and thermoset plastic materials. The concept of the Tappex Trisert® design is to provide a reliable and efficient post-mould production process, where the installation torque can be controlled and monitored for increased reliability.
Self-Tapping Plated Steel, Stainless Steel or Titanium Insert. The Tappex Trisert-3 has three cutting features to provide a balanced cutting action and reduced installation torque. It is suited for critical applications in hard plastics & light metal alloys and is available in two lengths, regular and long, and is based upon the Trisert Reduced Headed design.
Self tapping Brass Insert for use in Wood & lower density materials The Tappex Foamsert® is a special version of the Trisert® and has a very coarse truncated external thread form. The Foamsert® threaded insert ideally suited for use in structural foam materials, laminated chipboards, medium density fibre board and certain types of glass reinforced plastics (GRP).
Suitable for use in Plastics and Composite materials The MultiRiv® / rivet nut is designed with four holes to control the deformation of the body. This property enables the use of Rivet Nuts in applications and materials where they would otherwise not be suitable. They are available in a range of materials, grip ranges and in headed and reduced head styles.
Steel and Stainless steel Self Tapping Inserts Steel/Stainless Steel Insert For Self-Tapping Installation. The Ensat is a single ended self tapping threaded insert with an internal and external thread.
Installed into drilled or moulded holes – wide variety of applications. Tappex TPX® thread forming screws are produced by cold forging from bar or wire-stock and therefore have excellent mechanical properties with minimum residual stress & high strength suitable for installation into thermoplastics.
Imperial thread sizes. Tappex can manufacture most Imperial thread sizes using the external features of the nearest metric equivalent product, so design information will be the same as listed. Popular sizes are available from stock; other sizes are available to order in reasonable batch quantities – please contact the sales office for help.
Heat or Ultrasonic Installation into Thermoplastic Materials. The Dedsert® design includes two bands of helical knurling with left and right helix providing higher performance than conventional thread inserts.
Male Steel Insert for a High Strength Solution. Tappex are extending the range of male inserts for moulding-in by introducing the SplayMould® male steel insert. This is in addition to machined Brass & Steel male variants of existing HiMould, Multisert & Trisert threaded inserts. Often customers expect to be able to apply standard tightening torques at the point of assembly and in application to enable existing equipment and set ups to be utilised. The Tappex SplayMould® offers a high strength solution.
