During June Tappex were approached through our agents Beluma N.V. in Belgium to supply a variant of our standard Headed Foamsert insert in 303 grade stainless steel. Customer testing had determined the brass 040M3 met the test requirements but the application, for a satellite, required stainless steel material.
Tappex offered the Foamsert form in 303 Stainless Steel with the cutting facets developed for the Trisert-3 and made a number of samples for extensive detailed customer testing. Against a number of alternative inserts, the Foamsert-3 met and exceeded all the test criteria becoming the recommended insert for this specialist technical application.
