Description:
The HiMould 'C' type insert for moulding-in, has an external diamond knurl form with two undercuts. The HiMould is dimensionally interchangeable with its' Yardley equivalent.
Application:
This insert has proven most effective when used in rotational moulding where the fill is not pressurised, as the plastic can close around and grip the external form more easily without significantly impeding the flow. Provides excellent pullout performance and resistance to rotation.

Installation:
The Tappex HiMould type 'C' insert has been developed as a technical advance on the type 'A'. The use of a counter bore incorporated in the open end of the insert, which fits on to a stepped mould pin, gives 100% flash free threads in all low and high-pressure environments, whilst still allowing plain pins to be used in the mould tool. Retention of the insert in the tool is obtained by an interference fit between the counter-bore and the stepped portion of the pin.

For thread sizes M2 and M2.5 the Yardley style (018) insert, Without undercuts, is specified.
