Description: The HiMould 'B' type insert for moulding-in, is a through hole insert and has external diamond knurl form with two undercuts. The HiMould is dimensionally interchangeable with its' Yardley equivalent.

Application: It is a lower cost item than either the 'A' or 'C' type and can be used where a through hole in a moulding is acceptable. This insert has proven most effective when used in rotational moulding where the fill is not pressurised, as the plastic can close around and grip the external form more easily without significantly impeding the flow. Provides excellent pullout performance and resistance to rotation.

Installation: It is possible to hold the length of the 'B' type insert to +0.05mm/-0.05mm, referred to as 'close tolerance', in order to give a flash free thread without the use of belleville washers or other spring mechanisms as the mould tool will shut solid on the insert. Where the tool design incorporates a spring mechanism, the 'close tolerance' part number should be suffixed with -10 to designate a 'normal tolerance' e.g. 117M3-10.

Note: For thread sizes M2, M2.5 and BSP the Yardley style (017) insert, Without undercuts, is specified.
